Clubs are listed with the disciplines they teach, their training times, the age groups they take and whether beginners can join mid-term. Many also show grading structures and trial sessions.

Ratings submitted at the club through its QR code are cryptographically signed at the moment they are written, so they can be told apart from the rest.

Choosing a club is a question of trust: parents want to know how beginners are looked after, adults want to know how hard sparring gets. A code at the mat edge lets people answer that on the evening they trained. Clubs where members can rate on the premises are flagged like this: {icons}

Instructor and coaching roles

## Fitness, training and building muscle

If you want to take an active role in your own health, there is rarely a way around fitness. Regular exercise strengthens the cardiovascular system, the metabolism and the immune system — and it demonstrably works against stress, sleep problems and psychological strain. The first step is usually the hardest: breaking out of your routine and finding a training plan that fits into your everyday life.

### Which type of training suits me?

The ideal form of training depends on your goal, your previous experience and your physical condition. Moderate endurance training (running, cycling, swimming) improves basic fitness and is the ideal starting point for most beginners. Strength training rounds out the programme — properly dosed, it strengthens muscles, bones and posture, without an exaggerated bodybuilder look having to be the goal.

If you have chronic complaints or are returning after a longer break, it is worth going through a gym with professional guidance. A qualified trainer corrects movement patterns, prevents injuries and puts together a plan that matches your current level of fitness.

### Gym, classes or training at home?

Every format has its advantages and drawbacks:

- **Gym** — access to equipment, personal supervision, fixed training times. Helpful for beginners and for anyone who finds it hard to stay motivated alone.
- **Group classes** — yoga, Pilates, functional training or indoor cycling. The social effect plus guidance from an instructor.
- **Home training** — flexible and inexpensive. Suitable once your technique is solid — otherwise poor execution brings a risk of injury.

### Nutrition as part of your training

Without the right nutrition, even the best training only delivers half the results. If you want to build muscle mass, you need enough protein; if you want to lose weight, keep an eye on a moderate calorie balance. Supplements such as whey protein or creatine can be useful — but they are not essential. Anabolic steroids and unsupervised hormone preparations have no place in a healthy training routine and should only ever be taken on medical instruction.

### Finding fitness providers you can rely on

With gyms, personal trainers and class providers in particular, trust is decisive: the qualifications of the trainers, hygiene standards, contract terms and the atmosphere on site can only really be judged during a trial session — or through genuine reviews from other members.

McGesund brings together reviews from the fitness sector and makes sure that every review comes only from real customers. QR code based verification, geolocation and quantum-resistant encryption prevent the fake reviews that distort the picture on many platforms. The result is a reliable overall impression — before you sign a contract or take out a membership.

Gyms, personal trainers and classes in an honest comparison — entirely without bought stars. Reviews are signed in a quantum-resistant way and are therefore protected against forgery.
